What it contains

This worksheet is designed to help employers assess the workplace health and safety risks on new construction sites. The document tells you how to check for risks from:

• site rules
• services, assets and hazardous substances
• soil contamination, structural inadequacies and services to be removed
• any high-risk construction work (HRCW) employees may be exposed to
• establishing the need for Safe Work Method Statements for any potential HRCW, including what to do if you identify it

At the start of the document, you’ll find a sample site plan you can use to map out the construction site, how to create this site plan and when it must be updated.
