Plant hazard checklist

What it contains

This checklist for employers and self-employed persons presents questions that you can ask to help with identifying plant hazards. Use the checklist as a starting point — add or remove questions to tailor the checklist to the plant and systems of work you are examining.

Hazard identifcation

An employer or self-employed person must, so far as is reasonably practicable, identify all hazards associated with the installation, erection, commissioning, decommissioning, dismantling and use of plant at the workplace where the plant is used or located and the systems of work associated with the plant.
