Request for senior management review of a worksafe decision for high risk work assessor authorisations

What it contains

Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (OHS Act) and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017, WorkSafe may authorise persons to carry out assessments of competency of persons wishing to apply to WorkSafe for a Licence to Perform High Risk Work.

WorkSafe may decide to cancel, suspend or amend the conditions of a licence assessor's authorisation in response to a failure to comply with the Conditions of Authorisation. WorkSafe may also decide not to grant an authorisation or extend the scope of an authorisation.

The Senior Management review will offer affected persons assurance that correct processes were followed throughout the decision making process and that the decision was reasonable and fair.
