People can be seriously injured or killed if a building collapses while under construction. This guidance note outlines WorkSafe Victoria's expectations of employers to make sure that buildings under construction are stable. It explains how to:

  • ensure a competent person checks the proposed design and construction
  • document and review stability and bracing requirements
  • regularly check bracing on the building
  • make sure temporary bracing is correctly installed
