What it contains

This document is a checklist to help employers, site supervisors and Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) determine the level of ultraviolet (UV) exposure faced by construction workers. It includes the Occupational Health and Safety duties of employers and employees to reduce or eliminate this risk. The checklist includes:

• relevant questions to ask about the risk of UV exposure
• assessment of environmental and personal risk factors
• solutions to these risk factors
