Information for community members about surveys conducted by the WorkSafe research team.
WorkSafe will never ask you for proof of identity or for your bank details while conducting a survey.

Frequently asked questions
- Where did you get my details?
WorkSafe have been given your contact details from an external research recruitment company. You can withdraw from participation in this research at any time without penalty, either by clicking on the opt-out link included in the email we sent, or by informing WorkSafe at [email protected]
- Are my answers and personal information confidential?
Yes. WorkSafe manages personal and health information in accordance with the:
- Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) and its Information Privacy Principles.
- Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) and its Health Privacy Principles. This means that all personal information that WorkSafe collects and stores is protected, and will not be shared without your explicit consent to do so.

WorkSafe privacy and terms - What's the purpose of the survey?
We run several surveys with the Victorian community. The major ones look at attitudes and behaviours around health and safety in the workplace. We also survey community members about the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
- How long will the survey take to complete?
Up to 15 minutes, depending on your answers.
- Do I need to take part in the survey?
No, it's your choice. Participation is completely voluntary.
