About the Communities of Practice
Inspired by previous WorkSafe Learning Networks, the Communities of Practice take a collaborative partnership approach to help workplace leaders to take action to create psychologically healthy and safe workplaces.
Communities of Practice are now live
The Victorian Government has invested $1.6 million in two new Communities of Practice in Victoria’s residential aged care and disability service sectors.
Led by the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association and the National Disability Services, the Communities of Practice are supporting workplace leaders to collaborate with peers, discuss challenges and identify practical solutions to prevent mental injury in their industry.
Each Community of Practice will create practical tools and resources to improve the psychosocial safety climate within Victoria’s residential aged care and disability service workplaces.
Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association
Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association is leading a consortium of partners to co-design an approach that focuses on the practical application of psychosocial safety climate.
The Community of Practice known as the Aged Care Improvement Collaborative is working with workplace leaders from across Victorian residential aged care homes including public, private and not-for profit facilities.
Leaders are participating in peer-to-peer workshops and tailored coaching sessions to build their capacity and help them embed psychosocial safety climate learnings into their workplaces.
Project tools and outcomes will be promoted across industry to influence policies and standards, driving broad reaching and sustainable change in the sector.
