Assisting primary industry address workplace mental health

The Primary Producer Knowledge Network is working with Victorian Primary Producers and industry partners in the agriculture and fishing industry to co-design strategies to create cultural and system level changes across primary industries in support of mentally healthy workplaces.

About the project

The project aims to develop and deliver a range of tailored strategies to address relevant work-related factors that impact the mental health of farmers and fishers, their workforce and their families. Interventions will be co-designed to reflect the needs of a range of industry groups and age cohorts and will include tailored tools and resources, capacity building and the establishment of a cross industry network of community champions. The project is also creating a digital platform, enabling industry wide access to the tailored tools, resources and interaction with experts and peer networks.

The project will be delivered by the National Centre for Farmer Health in partnership with Western District Health Service and Deakin University.
