April 2025 releases

New features and enhancements

Front-end framework upgrade (major release):

• Upgrade Vue 2 to Vue 3
• Upgrade Nuxt 2 to Nuxt 3
• Upgrade Storybook 6 to Storybook 7
• Upgrade Bootstrap 4 to Bootstrap 5

Media user permissions: provided the ability for media content administrators to include a greater variety of content on news pages.

May 2025 releases

New features and enhancements

Geo-mapping for fatalities statistics: An enhancement has been developed for the statistics component to allow fatalities numbers to be plotted on to a map within LGA's. 

Health and safety training providers directory: A new directory has been built to allow for user filtered health and safety training provider results to display on the public website. A new expression of interest web form was also created to allow potential providers to submit their details easily.

File uploads for web forms: Users are now able to upload supporting documentation along with their submission in certain web forms.

Dangerous goods calculator: A new dangerous goods calculator has been intuitively designed and developed to allow for a 'shopping cart' like experience where users can:

• select the type of dangerous goods the have
• select the class
• select the quantity
• manually add the quantity
• add, edit or delete selections

Once all selections have been made a result is calculated and the user is instructed to take actions that are relevant to their scenario.

Learning management system proof of concept: A new LMS POC has been developed and setup on a dedicated environment. 

Maintenance and bug fixes

• Updated CORS policy
• Server hydration issues fixed to improve page indexing on Google
• Fixed issue where and error was displaying on the home page after a global alert was removed.
• Fixed issue with file uploads on web forms where uploads were causing an error
• Resource lists now correctly display in the custom order arranged within Drupal
• Resource groups now correctly display in the custom order arranged within Drupal
• Blank bullet point removed on Resource page meta section if not content is available
• Improved scrollspy functionality

June 2025 releases

• Changed the field focus to automatically activate the search field on the home page or search page when the search icon is clicked.
• Fixed issue with proof point images repeating on some viewport sizes
• Fixed issue with notice strips disappearing when clicking on the content area
• Updated content in the Dangerous Goods calculator results page
• An incremental Drupal upgrade ensuring stablity and security.

July 2025 releases

• Improved the efficiency of menu calls from the API

New features and enhancements

SOLR search back-up: A feature has been developed to enable SOLR search to power the internal search in the event that  Google Custom Search stops functioning optimally.

Maintenance and bug fixes

• Created new fields on video media items in the CMS to allow for a video trigger warning  to be added and supporting content to be added.
• Fixed the issue where pagination was missing from the Injury Support Provider directory.

October 2025 releases

New features and enhancements

Video trigger warning: A feature has been developed to enable a video trigger warning on video assets. The new feature allows us to take extra care to ensure that content is not indirectly harmful or triggering to sensitive viewers

Maintenance and bug fixes

• Fixed an issue where specified pages where not being hidden from robots even though they were instructed to do so
• Fixed styling inconsistencies on PRS records
• Fixed issues with the Task finder component not displaying correctly on mobile devices

November 2025 releases

New features and enhancements

Top header section: A new section that sits above the main menu allowing users to easily access the most used functionality.

Updated main menu: Additional top level items can now be added to the primary navigation menu. This will allow other important areas to move up a level and be featured on the top level of the menu.

Asbestos removalists directory: A new directory has been built to allow for approved absestos removalist results to display on the public website. Users are able to easily filter to find providers close to their location and easily contact the removalist via email or click to call phone number.

Homepage carousel: A new content promotion component which presents visitors to the WorkSafe homepage with topical or time sensitive items that are clearly visible. They are able to engage with the content to learn more.

Inline link manager: Centrally managed inline links can now be added directly into rich content. This will further enhance the user experience, especially for large pieces of content where contextual links are required without creating a break in the content flow.

Maintenance and bug fixes

• Added the ability to add subscript or superscript in the rich text editor
• Fixed an issue where videos were intermittently showing errors when the modal is opened.
• Fixed an issue where videos where not able to display full screen
• Fixed an issue where pages in archived state where not automatically hidden from robots and search engines
• Fixed an issue where the top header and menu background wasn't extending to the full width of the page
• Fixed an issue where the contrast selector radio button wasn't showing the selected state.
• Removed Choose you language button from the homepage quick link menu because it is now permanently featured in the new top header
• Improved the homepage header spacing and visual harmony

December 2025 releases

Maintenance and bug fixes

• Created a new form to allow users to report employer non-compliance and submit supporting evidence
• Reduced the text size on the carousel caption to improve usability
• Fixed an issue where the checkboxes field in web forms was not honouring conditional logic
• Fixed a spacing issue in the Text + Video and Text + Image component
• Fixed an issue where the Global Alert strip was being hidden when the new app header menu was in place
• Fixed an issue with a conflicting view of the Global Alert strip and active submenu on mobile devices
• Fixed an issue where the old contrast selector was displaying on form pages
• Fixed an issue where meta tags where not changed when page status changed from published to Archived
