Manage asbestos removal notifications online
You can view, download and withdraw asbestos notifications that have been submitted online in myWorkSafe.
Before you begin
To manage these, you will require:
- a myWorkSafe account
- a Notification Administrator role for the business you’re representing.
A Notification Administrator role must be assigned by an authorised representative who holds a myWorkSafe Manager role for this business.

How to apply for a myWorkSafe Manager role
A myWorkSafe Manager can assign, manage and remove business roles for an organisation, including the Notification Administrator role. The myWorkSafe Manager role is only available to the person who holds a role in the Australian Business Register (ABR) for the business.

You can view incident and asbestos removal notifications in myWorkSafe with this role.

- How do I access my notifications?
Once you hold a Notification Administrator role:
- Login to myWorkSafe and select your business account.
- In the ‘Notify us’ tile under the ‘Get started’ section, click on ‘My notifications’.
- View, filter or manage your submitted notifications from this page.
- My business isn’t eligible for the myWorkSafe Manager role. How do I assign a Notification Administrator without it?
If your business does not have an ABN (ACN only) you are not currently able to obtain a myWorkSafe Manager role. Contact your regional WorkSafe office for help.
- Can I view notifications if I hold a different myWorkSafe role for the business I represent?
No, you must hold a Notification Administrator role to view these notifications.

- What actions can I perform with asbestos notifications in myWorkSafe?
Currently, you can complete the following actions:
- view notifications and track their status
- download a PDF copy of the submitted notification
- withdraw notifications prior to work start date .

- Why can’t I withdraw my asbestos removal notification?
You can’t withdraw a notification:
- if closed
- if the work start date has passed
- on the same day of the work start date, or
- if an on-site inspection has been scheduled.
If you are unable to withdraw your notification in myWorkSafe, contact your regional WorkSafe office for help.
