To submit and manage these, you will need a Notification Administrator role to link you to the business you’re representing.

How to accept a Notification Administrator role
Once the Notification Administrator role is accepted, notifications can be managed by:
- logging into myWorkSafe
- selecting the business account.

Asbestos notifications quick reference guide
- Access ‘My notifications’
To access and manage notifications in myWorksafe, you must have a Notification Administrator role.
If you do not have a Notification Administrator role, follow the steps above to get set up.
With your Notification Administrator role, log in to myWorkSafe and select your business account.
From the business account ‘Notify us’ tile, select 'My notifications'.
The ‘My notifications’ page displays all asbestos removal and incident notifications for the business account.
- Manage asbestos removal notifications
For asbestos removal notifications, Notification Administrators can:
- view and download asbestos removal notifications
- amend an asbestos removal notification
- withdraw an asbestos removal notification.
Notification Administrators can’t delete an asbestos removal notification.
- Amend asbestos removal notifications
There are two edit options available in myWorkSafe:
- change date
- edit form.
‘Change date’ should be used if you are only amending the removal start date and/or number of days for removal work. ‘Edit form’ should be used for all other amendments.
Before you start
Notifications can’t be amended if the:
- removal end date has passed
- work is an unexpected situation.
You will not see the edit options in these scenarios.
The following detail in your notification can’t be amended:
- licence details
- selected asbestos type (friable/non-friable)
- workplace type
- client organisation name
- location address
- location details.
To update these details, you need to withdraw your notification and submit a new one.
How to amend an asbestos removal notification
- Log in to myWorkSafe and select your business account.
- On the ‘Notify us’ tile under the ‘Get started’ section, click on ‘My notifications’.
- Click on the ‘Notification ID’ (IFR) or the ‘3-dot icon’ for the notification you want to amend.
- Select from the edit options displayed. ‘Change date’ or ‘Edit form’.
- Make the required changes and select ‘Save’ or ‘Submit’.
An updated PDF will be sent to your email and will be available to download from your myWorkSafe business account.

- Withdraw asbestos removal notifications
Notifications can’t be withdrawn if:
- closed
- the work start date has passed
- an on-site inspection has been scheduled.
How to withdraw an asbestos removal notification
- Log in to myWorkSafe and select your business account.
- On the ‘Notify us’ tile under the ‘Get started’ section, click on ‘My notifications’.
- Click on the ‘Notification ID’ (IFR) or the ‘3-dot icon’ for the notification you want to withdraw.
- If you clicked on the ‘Notification ID’ select ‘Edit’ and then select ‘Withdraw’. If you clicked on the ‘3-dot icon’ select ‘Withdraw’.
- Select a reason for withdrawing the notification and select ‘Withdraw’.
A confirmation will be sent to your email.
Withdrawn notifications are still available on the 'My notifications’ page to view.
