Register an amusement structure

Information to help you register an amusement structure in Victoria.

Overview

Before certain amusement structures can be used in a workplace, you must register the plant design and item of plant with WorkSafe.

Visit our webpage for a list of plant and equipment requiring design registration.

Not all plant requires design registration. If your amusement structure is on this list, you’ll need to register your plant design and item of plant.

Key steps to register your amusement structure

  1. Register the plant design. If a registered plant design is altered to the extent it requires new risk control measures, the altered design must be registered.
  2. If your design is registered interstate, apply for a certificate of interstate recognition.
  3. When you have either, a plant design registration or a certificate of interstate recognition, you can then register your item of plant.
