Your Community Health and Transgender Victoria co-designed the ‘Being Valued Toolkit’ with LGBTIQA+ Victorians with lived experience of gendered violence. The Being Valued Toolkit aims to represent the experiences, insights and voices of the LGBTIQA+ community. The contents here on the WorkWell Toolkit represents a condensed version of the complete Being Valued Toolkit, highlighting the risk management approach.

Family, domestic and sexual violence support
- Rainbow Sexual, Domestic and Family Violence Helpline
For anyone from the LGBTIQ+ community whose life has been impacted by sexual domestic and or family violence. This service is free and confidential. Available 24/7.
- Say It Out Loud
A national resource for LGBTQ+ communities and service professionals working with people who have experienced sexual, domestic and family violence.
- Sexual Assault Services Victoria (SASVic)
SASVic are specialist services in Australia that provide free and confidential support to people who have experienced sexual assault. They also play a critical role in violence prevention, community education, and advocacy.

Justice Q is a specialist legal service for LGBTIQA+ individuals in Victoria’s south-east, offering free legal consultations by phone or in person.

Q+Law provides free legal assistance to all LGBTIQA+ Victorians, covering:

- Australian GLBTIQ Multicultural Council (AGMC)
The AGMC advocates for and educates on the needs of GLBTIQ people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. The website includes a list of multicultural and faith-based LGBTIQA+ groups.

This resource provides LGBTIQA+ terms across multiple languages to support inclusive and culturally sensitive communication in English, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese.

- InterLink Counselling Service
InterLink offers one-on-one and group counselling services tailored to intersex individuals.
- Queerspace
Queerspace offers LGBTIQA+ affirming counselling and mental health support for individuals, couples, and families. Services are low-cost or free and are delivered by practitioners experienced in LGBTIQA+ wellbeing, identity, and inclusion. Queerspace also provides community education, advocacy, and peer support programs.
- Rainbow Door
Rainbow Door is a specialist LGBTIQA+ peer support service providing assistance for:
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Family and intimate partner violence
- Social isolation and discrimination
- Transgender Victoria (TGV)
TGV provides peer support and mental health navigation for LGBTIQA+ people, specialising in trans and gender-diverse inclusion. TGV offers guidance on transitioning at work, and accessing gender-affirming care.
- Worker Mental Health Support Helpline
WorkSafe Worker Mental Health Support Helpline is a free and confidential EAP support service for Victorian workers. This service is available 24/7 and includes access to counsellors and practitioners specially trained in LGBTIQA+ safe and inclusive practices. Available to Victorian employees at businesses with less than 200 staff.
LGBTIQA+ people with disability
- Inclusive Rainbow Voices (IRV)
IRV supports LGBTIQA+ people with disability in Victoria through advocacy, community engagement, and education. They provide peer-led initiatives, capacity-building workshops, and resources to help workplaces and organisations create safe, inclusive, and accessible environments for people with diverse abilities and identities.

Rainbow Door is a free helpline and specialist support service run by Switchboard – providing information, support, and referral to all Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Gender Diverse, Intersex, Queer, Asexual, BrotherBoys, SisterGirls (LGBTIQA+) Victorians, their friends and families.
Through advice, referral and support from experienced LGBTIQA+ peer, Rainbow Door can help you navigate the system to access the support you need.
Workplace training providers
- Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO)
VACCHO and the Wurru Wurru Health Unit offer a FREE online training package to help the health and wellbeing sector support LGBTQIASB+ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The three-hour course includes:
- Lived experience videos
- Engaging activities
- Practical guidelines for supporting Rainbow Mob in Victoria.
Topics cover intersectionality, social and cultural health determinants, Rainbow Mob health priorities, and delivering culturally safe care.
- InterAction for Health and Human Rights (InterAction)
InterAction promote the health, human rights, self-determination and bodily autonomy of people with innate variations of sex characteristics (intersex variations/differences of sex development). InterAction build community, evidence, capacity, education and information resources.

Australia’s largest youth-driven LGBTIQA+ organisation. Grounded in the lived experiences of young people, their workshops and eLearning equip workplaces and schools with practical tools to foster safe, respectful, and supportive spaces where LGBTQIA+ students, colleagues, clients, and communities can thrive.
- Pride in Diversity
Pride in Diversity offers workplace training and consulting to improve LGBTQ inclusion. Their programs support policy development, staff education, and organisational culture change, helping workplaces create affirming environments and achieve measurable inclusion outcomes.
- Rainbow Health Australia
Rainbow Health Australia Training Programs offer evidence-based training to support LGBTIQA+ inclusion. Programs include:
- True Colours - introductory e-learning
- Work with Pride - affirmative skills development
- How2 Program - organisational systems change
Training draws on research, lived experience, and inclusive practice to build affirming, sustainable change through staff development and organisational systems change, aligned with Rainbow Tick standards.
- Thorne Harbour Health (THH)
THH provides training to build the capacity of workplaces and community organisations to support LGBTIQA+ people. Programs focus on inclusive practices, understanding LGBTIQA+ health needs, and embedding affirming systems to foster safe and welcoming environments.
- Transgender Victoria (TGV)
TGV delivers specialist training to help workplaces and organisations support trans and gender-diverse people. Programs cover gender diversity awareness, inclusive policies, and practical strategies to create safe, affirming, and psychologically safe workplaces.
- Zoe Belle Gender Collective (ZBGC)
ZBGC offers trans and gender diverse (TGD) inclusion training and consultation services for organisations and workplaces. Their strategic priorities include the primary prevention and response to violence against TGD people and supporting the health and wellbeing of trans and gender diverse young people and their families.

- Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission
The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (VEOHRC) is responsible for Victoria’s human rights and anti-discrimination laws, including the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic). It provides guidance on workplace rights and responsibilities, conciliates complaints, and undertakes investigation and independent reviews.
