Employers have new duties to manage psychosocial hazards
The Occupational Health and Safety (Psychological Health) Regulations 2025 comes into effect on 1 December 2025. These regulations require employers to:
- identify and control psychosocial hazards and risks
- review and revise risk control measures for psychosocial hazards in certain circumstances.

Workplace bullying definition
Workplace bullying is repeated, unreasonable behaviour directed at an employee or group of employees that creates a risk to health and safety.

The tool includes a risk scale, provides a checklist of work-related factors that can lead to bullying and offers control measures that might help prevent and respond to bullying.

- work stressors
- leadership styles
- systems of work
- workplace relationships
- workforce characteristics
